Dark Poem - "Self Deprivation"

A self-deprivation is an act of taking away something. This poem is about deprivation of things that are not essential to one’s living. It conveys something that is hidden and manipulated within oneself; most specifically the earthly things that drive a man to do something beyond control.

Hidden self that lurks at night
Wanting to sprout and surmount
Bore by isolation and incarceration
Deprive by fear and impersonation

Wants have set aside for deeper reasons
Needs were prioritized for further visions
Earthly lust was forcibly cease
To live life in a noble cause

But the process is rough and vulnerable
When it rises to peak it became uncontrollable
A flame within that burns forever
It can only deprive by a brave heart

Self-deprivation is a gateway for newer things
It can be “good or evil” depending on its state
But it is likely related to alterations
For those who need changes, they deprive their palate
